You circling infinitude. You dancer with all death and each demon. You edgewalker, you reaching toward the furthest bounds, dancing off the dust.
You the one your ancestors chose. You who died many times, you who returned each time with more life to share salvaged from each underworld. You who carried proudly your parents’ promise.
You who stretched this heart. You who keeps stretching. How wide you challenged me with your love. How pitiful you revealed my heart. You who tumbles in god’s bounty. How worthy you found the seed in each one of us, however shriveled and obscured. You who always located the root.
You survivor. You survivor. You memory keeper. You who fought for this life, you who won each vertebrae one thousand times over.
You honoree of the sun. You friend of water. You are forever. It’s our duty to embody a fraction of your freedom, the kind that dissolves real and imagined cages.
You who glisten amongst the earth’s native minerals. You in gilded carriage crossing over, crossing over, I see you in gilded carriage crossing over the vesak moon, enshrined in the love you spooled from that infinite source within you, most generous weaver, I see your own generosity coming back to anoint you, weaving your next cocoon.
You who touched down with the earth of your homelands, you who unbound your ancestors’ stickiest riddles, you are free. You live within us. You who we touch now through the sincerest acts of creation and courage.
I wish I told you again and again and again. I wish I told you once more. You already know. We love you for absolutely ever.
